NCAA Division I women’s volleyball committee reveals in-season top 16

Breaking down the remaining undefeated teams in women's volleyball

The NCAA DI women's volleyball committee announced its in-season top-16 rankings during the Louisville vs. Pitt match on Sunday, Oct. 19. Follow for live updates from the top-10 showdown here.

All matches through Saturday, Oct. 18 were under consideration when determining the rankings.

  6. Louisville
  7. Arizona State
  8. Purdue
  9. TCU
  10. Creighton
  11. Stanford
  12. Wisconsin
  13. Texas A&M
  14. Indiana
  15. Penn State
  16. Minnesota

This marks the second year that the in-season rankings feature 16 teams. Before 2024, only the top 10 were revealed. The committee looked at the 64 teams and considered several criteria to determine their rankings, including strength of schedule, top-10 wins and head-to-head competition.

The in-season reveal offers fans an early look at potential NCAA tournament seedings ahead of Selection Sunday on Nov. 30.

The 2025 DI women's volleyball championship semifinals and championship will be held on Dec. 18 and Dec. 21 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The first semifinal match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, Dec. 18 with the second match starting 30 minutes after the first concludes. The national championship is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 21.
