NCAA releases selections and qualifiers for the NC women's gymnastic championships

INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA announced today the teams and individuals who have advanced to compete in the 2026 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships.

✨ WHAT TO KNOW: For the 2026 NC women's gymnastics national championships

The championships, hosted by Texas Woman's University and Knight Eady, will be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, April 16 to 18.

The women’s gymnastics championships consists of eight teams, as well as four all-around competitors and 16 event specialists who were not members of a qualifying team.  The top two teams from each of the four regionals have advanced to the national championships. In addition, the top all-around competitor and the top finisher on each event from each regional have also advanced to the national championships.

The top two teams from the Baton Rouge and Tempe regionals will compete in the first semifinal and the top two teams from the Corvallis and Lexingon regionals will compete in the second semifinal.

Oklahoma will seek to defend its title after winning its seventh national championship in National Collegiate Women's Gymnastics in 2025. The Sooners scored 198.0125 points, outpacing UCLA, Missouri and Utah in the championships final. Individual champions included Jordan Bowers (Oklahoma) in the all-around, Kailin Chio (LSU) on vault, Jordan Chiles (UCLA) on uneven bars, Helen Hu (Missouri) on balance beam and Brooklyn Moors (UCLA) on floor exercise.

Team semifinal and individual competition will be conducted in two sessions Thursday, April 16, at 4:30 and 9 p.m. ET. The top two teams from each semifinal will advance to the championship final competition Saturday, April 18, at 4 p.m. ET. Both semifinals will be broadcast live on ESPN2, and championship final competition will be broadcast live on ABC.
